Dear Generous Contributors,

 

 

The 16th Annual Shade-Central City Heritage Days Festival will be held on August 14th and 15th, 2010 at the Central City Recreation Park.  The Heritage Days Festival Organization consists of local volunteers, and its soul purpose is to coordinate Heritage Days.  Officers of the organization are President Jessie Barnes, Vice President Merle Gibbons, Secretary Janet Gibbons, Treasurer Debbie Dneaster, and Financial Secretary Val McClatchey.  Board Directors of the organization are Emmy Strapple, Ray Sobeski, Chuck Dneaster, and Sam Kanuk. 

Heritage Days has been supported by local donations in the past, and it is vital to the survival of the Festival that donations continue in the future.  A sponsorship program has been created for the benefit of the supporting organizations.  A sponsor can choose a specific item associated with Heritage Days, and by doing so, the sponsor’s name will be listed as a sponsor of that item in newspaper articles, the Heritage Days Flyer, road-side signs, web site, and announced during the Festival in August.  Items available for sponsorship are as follows:  Somerset County Community Band $100.00, Zman $125.00, Zupe $300.00, Crescendo’s Polka Band $375.00, Ribbon Grass $400.00, Dennie Huber (Balloon Animals)$500.00, and Johnstown Classic Rockers $750.00.  Joint Sponsorships are also available, meaning two organizations could combine their donation to sponsor an item.  If an organization chooses not to be a sponsor, contributions can be made in the form of monetary value, gift certificates, specific donated items, or volunteer hours.  All contributions to Heritage Days are greatly appreciated.  If a monetary value is contributed, please make checks payable to Shade-Central City Heritage Days Organization.  If your organization would like to be a sponsor, please specify which item you would like to sponsor.  Any donations can be sent to Jessie Barnes at 169 Daisy Street, Cairnbrook, PA 15924.  If you have any questions, contact Jessie at (814) 754-1559.  We also now have a web site www.shadecentralcityheritagedays.com.
